It was Disney Night on "Dancing with the Stars," generally one of my least-favorite themed nights — call me Grumpy — but this season's cast may have just changed that for me. From Erika Jayne's emotional Viennese Waltz to Nick Viall's light, fun and comical jazz routine to singer Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy's near-perfect Paso Doble, it was, to use the obvious, magical.
First up was football player Rashad Jennings and partner Emma Slater, who danced a Foxtrot to Josh Groban's song, "Evermore," from the new "Beauty and the Beast." They scored lower than their almost perfect score of 39 last week, with a 32; the judges noted that the difficult timing of the song seemed to translate a bit to the dance. But, as judge Len Goodman said to Jennings: "I have never seen you dance a bad dance." And, boy, he was right.
